I was really considering taking on the X, m54, 3.0, 235k on a 1650-mile (round-trip) road trip. But I believed I had fixed the oil leak; perhaps it was the back main seal.
In that case, I won't be moving very quickly.

It shouldn't do that, and the displays shouldn't shift anyhow, so I'd double-check the installation.

Are you referring to the aux lead coming out? I've fitted a lot of these and never had a problem with the power lead coming out.

To clarify, when you say "power cable," what kind of screen are you using? No power cords protrude from any of the ones I've installed thus far; they're all hardwired into the loom.

I put up my profile, but it still asks "which driver?" every time I start up. I know I can remove it by pushing the screen, but it's still bothersome when I'm the only driver.

I see that it sounds implausible, but in the case you mentioned, one seat's switch lights go off after a few seconds while the other's stay on as expected, maybe with some heat on that portion of the seat...

The odds are high that it's the result of multiple mistakes.
