Hello everyone, I have recently acquired a 2024 Cooper S; has anyone installed alternative tires? I have noticed that my rims appear broader than the tires and have already scraped them twice.
I appreciate it, everyone.

Fit larger Goodyear asy6... but what is the stock on a S?
Other tires are accessible, yet the price-to-quality ratio is exceptionally favorable.

I observed that the JCW wheels (assuming that is what you possess) exhibited a more prominent design on my MINI compared to any other design I have experienced on several of my MINIs.
I have recently acquired the knowledge to exercise extreme caution near curbs.

I typically exercise great caution; I possess a Juke that we have owned for six years without any blemishes on the rims, so I am inquiring about alternative tire options.

I comprehend your perspective.
I recently acquired a 2024 Cooper as well; my model is a SE. It was equipped with 205/45R17 tires mounted on MINI 17x7 +54mm rims. The original equipment tires appeared excessively elongated. I replaced them with 215/45R17 tires: they significantly enhance the car's appearance.

I performed the same modification on a '21 S and eliminated the run-flat tires. Substituted with Michelin AS4. I anticipated the tires to be somewhat softer, yet they are, in fact, more rigid than the original tires.

PS: my MINI struck a substantial pothole on the passenger side during the test drive, resulting in damage to the rear original equipment tire.

In general, larger tires are advantageous with only a slight reduction in miles per gallon, frequently counterbalanced by purchasing tires that are 20% or more less expensive per unit.
A 215 width is typically more economical and advantageous for OEM 7" wide wheels. The sole conceivable benefit of a 205 on a 7" wheel is its performance in deep snow, where ground clearance may become more critical than the contact patch for navigating adverse conditions. This assessment is derived from two decades of driving Minis in various environments.

I possess a 2023 JCW. I have installed 215/45 18 Advan Neova ADO8 hybrid tires for both road and track applications. More subdued, more fluid, and significantly enhanced traction. Non-run-flat variety. There are no problems with friction, and their appearance has significantly improved
