Every 2-door AMG GT variant is equipped as standard with the latest AMG steering wheel buttons, which feature a circular controller accompanied by a display situated beneath the right steering-wheel spoke, along with two vertically aligned colour display buttons and switches located beneath the left steering-wheel spoke.

The AMG drive modes can be activated through the controller. The chosen configuration is displayed on the colour LCD screen seamlessly incorporated into the controller.

The two customisable display buttons and extra switches on the left side facilitate direct control of additional AMG functions from the steering wheel, allowing the driver to maintain focus on dynamic driving without removing their hands. Each necessary function can be represented on the display icon, which the driver taps to activate the corresponding function.

The two specifically designated AMG functions can be precisely defined, and the configurations altered with a mere tap of the finger.

The AMG TRACK PACE virtual race engineer, which captures data while driving on restricted race circuits, offers a notably broadened and more accurate range of functionalities. AMG TRACK PACE is an integral component of the COMAND online infotainment system.

Upon activation of the function, while navigating a race track, over 80 vehicle-specific data sets (such as speed and acceleration) are logged at a frequency of ten times per second. Additionally, lap and sector times are presented alongside the corresponding deviation from a reference time. The use of green and red display elements allows the driver to quickly ascertain, without the need for numerical interpretation, whether they are exceeding or falling short of the optimal time.

Following the completion of rapid laps, the driver can utilise the data for analysis and, if required, enhance their driving proficiency. Furthermore, metrics for acceleration and deceleration can be recorded and stored. With the aid of a newly devised algorithm that accurately ascertains the vehicle's position, AMG TRACK PACE is capable of identifying instances when the track has been exited or truncated. This is accomplished through GPS data and the vehicle's inherent sensors (acceleration, gyroscope, steering angle, wheel speeds.)

The information is presented on the multimedia screen and the digital dashboard. Renowned racing circuits such as the Nürburgring and Spa Francorchamps are preloaded. Additionally, users can also document their own tracks.

The updated illumination controls of the LED high-performance headlights now exhibit similarities to the AMG GT 4-door coupe, thereby strengthening the affiliation within the AMG GT lineage. A tri-functional, curved light guide assumes the roles of daytime running light, navigation light, and turn signals.

The multi-chamber reflector assembly, featuring three individual reflectors for both dipped and main beams, guarantees superior roadway illumination while imparting a sporty, dynamic aesthetic to the AMG GT, enhanced by the black backdrop. The LED tail lights also exhibit a more recessed and athletic appearance due to the dark background.

The rear bumper's new appearance is impressive, featuring a sporty black diffuser insert that has been reimagined for the AMG GT and AMG GT C. Concurrently, the tailpipe outlet has been aesthetically modified to align with the contours of the AMG GT 4-door coupe. The AMG GT is now equipped with two round twin tailpipe outlets, while the AMG GT C showcases trapezoidal twin tailpipe outlets. The rear profile of the AMG GT R retains its unique design, characterised by a prominent, centrally located

The AMG GT is equipped with a new black textured sill cover on the lower section, enhancing its dynamic aesthetic. When paired with the optional exterior package, supplementary decorative elements accentuate these characteristics.

Furthermore, the AMG GT can be equipped with a novel light alloy y-spoke wheel in titanium grey featuring a meticulously polished finish. Additionally, the AMG GT C offers the option of new 10-double-spoked forged wheels available in titanium grey with a finely polished surface or in soft black with a polished rim flange.

A novel standard attribute is the parking package equipped with the PARKTRONIC parking assistant and front and rear cameras, enhancing manoeuvrability. Another indication of the AMG GT lineage is the newly offered brilliant blue magno paint for the 2-door AMG GT, a hue set to debut with the AMG GT 4-door coupe. Additional features include two-tone leather upholstery in an exclusive nappa finish in silver pearl/black.

The AMG DYNAMIC SELECT now includes the “Slippery,” “Comfort,” “Sport,” “Sport Plus,” “RACE,” and “Individual” drive programs in the 2-door AMG GT, which is enhanced by AMG DYNAMICS. This comprehensive driving dynamics regulation augments the capabilities of the ESP® (electronic stability program) by precisely managing power distribution at the rear axles and steering responses.

Consequently, the AMG GT attains enhanced agility. AMG DYNAMICS improves lateral dynamics through increased lateral acceleration, superior traction, and more responsive load changes.

Notably, AMG DYNAMICS assesses the vehicle's response by utilising various sensors that monitor parameters such as speed, steering angle, and yaw rate. By employing a pilot-control methodology, the system can forecast vehicle behaviour based on the driver's inputs and sensor data. This control mechanism operates preemptively, often without the driver perceiving any system intervention, resulting in an authentic driving experience characterised by superior cornering dynamics, optimal traction, high stability, and predictable handling. Even seasoned drivers benefit from exceptional support without feeling condescended to by the system.

The various AMG DYNAMICS modes are designated as "Basic," "Advanced," "Pro," and "Master." The drive program selection displayed on the multimedia interface now features the updated AMG DYNAMICS emblem along with the corresponding term, replacing the former ESP symbol.

The "Basic" setting is designated for the "Slippery" and "Comfort" driving modes. In this context, the AMG GT exhibits remarkably stable handling attributes with significant yaw damping.

The "Sport" program engages "Advanced," resulting in a neutrally balanced AMG GT. The reduced yaw damping, diminished steering angle necessity, and improved agility facilitate dynamic manoeuvres on serpentine rural roads.

“Pro” (short for “professional”) is a component of the “Sport+” program. Within “Pro,” the driver is afforded additional support for dynamic driving manoeuvres, while agility and precision are further augmented during cornering.

The "Master" mode, exclusively available for GT C and GT R, is integrated with the RACE drive program. This mode is designed for drivers seeking to experience dynamism and driving pleasure on closed circuits. "Master" provides an exceptionally neutral vehicle balance, minimal steering angle necessity, and enhanced steering responsiveness, thereby maximising agility and fully harnessing dynamic capabilities.

The newly released limited-edition AMG GT R PRO features enhanced driving dynamics, especially suited for racetrack performance. Insights derived from the AMG GT3 and AMG GT4 racing vehicles significantly shaped its design. The advancements from motorsport can be categorised into four domains: suspension, lightweight design, aerodynamics, and aesthetics.

The latest AMG coil-over suspension provides enhanced options for customising the setup to specific tracks. Similar to professional motorsport, drivers can mechanically adjust the spring preload length and now have the capability to modify the dampers' compression and rebound settings. This adjustment is executed swiftly and accurately without tools, utilising a click system with an integrated dial on the damper. The compression rate can be independently modified for both high-speed and low-speed movements, enabling precise tuning for slow and fast compression, as is standard in motorsport. This facilitates a more selective influence on body dive, roll, and traction of the AMG GT R PRO.

The front axle incorporates an adjustable torsion bar constructed from lightweight carbon fibre, while the rear axle features a similarly adjustable steel torsion bar that reduces weight through its hollow tube configuration.

The AMG GT R is equipped with Uniball spherical bearings on the lower wishbones of the rear axle, while the AMG GT R PRO now incorporates these bearings on the upper wishbones too. These bearings exhibit considerably greater wear resistance compared to traditional wishbone bearings and, owing to their design, possess no play, ensuring that toe-in and camber remain unchanged even under substantial loads. Consequently, the AMG GT R PRO can be manoeuvred with enhanced precision.

The carbon-fiber shear panel in the underbody of the rear end also contributes to the high handling precision. This lightweight and rigid element stiffens the rear-end structure and as a result adds even more stability to the body shell.

The electronically regulated dynamic engine and gearbox mounts were additionally recalibrated to enhance agility and provide precise responsiveness and distinct feedback.

Alongside numerous carbon-fiber elements, weight reduction is achieved by standardising the high-performance ceramic composite braking system. Specifically for the AMG GT R PRO, the brake callipers will be finished in black with white inscriptions. The lightweight AMG Performance Twin 5-spoke forged wheels are uniquely coated in titanium grey and exhibit a rim flange with a polished sheen.

Aerodynamic refinement enhances the overall efficacy of the AMG GT R PRO. The revamped front apron incorporates dual flics on the sides crafted from clear-coated carbon fibre. The lower flics merge almost imperceptibly with the front splitter, which has been elongated and is supported by minor metal braces that stabilise it at elevated velocities, serving as a visual tribute to the GT3 and GT4 motorsport prototypes.

The air vents located in the front fenders efficiently expel air from the wheel arches and aid in diminishing front-axle lift. At the rear, a clear-coated carbon-fiber aerodynamic component at the wheel arch on both sides ascends nearly to the height of the tail lights. The integration of these features markedly lessens front-axle lift while maintaining favourable aerodynamic conditions at the rear axle.

The underbody's active aerodynamics profile, the AIRPANEL active air management system in the front apron, and the prominent hatch spoiler, all derived from the AMG GT R, are included in the standard features. Furthermore, the rear spoiler is equipped with a spoiler lip that enhances downforce at the rear axle, now mounted on machined aluminium brackets that highlight its racing heritage.

The AMG GT R PRO not only performs akin to a racing vehicle but also possesses an aesthetic to match. The standard Carbon Packages I and II, featuring a front splitter, fender fins, side sill trim strips, side mirrors, rear spoiler, and a diffuser with a premium clear-coated carbon-fiber finish, accentuate its motorsport lineage, complemented by the reconfigured carbon-fiber roof with a lowered center.

The distinctive status is highlighted by the exclusive vehicle wrap featuring racing stripes that traverse the hood, roof, and hatch, as well as the sides of the automobile. This wrap is a light green, uniquely paired with the selenite grey magno paint finish. In contrast, for all other colour options, the stripes are rendered in a dark grey matte. Alternatively, the vehicle wrap can be entirely removed.

Prior to its global debut, the new AMG GT R PRO has remarkably showcased its performance capabilities on the racetrack: In early November, AMG brand ambassador and GT3 racer Maro Engel navigated the Nürburgring North Loop in precisely 7.04.632 minutes while piloting a camouflaged AMG GT R PRO. This significantly surpassed the former record set by the AMG GT R, highlighting the immense potential of the latest AMG flagship model.

The official lap time was accurately recorded by the impartial specialists of "wige SOLUTIONS." An autonomous notary validated the lap duration and affirmed that the vehicle's state complied with the regulations.
