My neighbour kindly knocked and informed me that my trunk lid opened "by itself" on two separate occasions while I was parked. Maybe a problem has arisen because of the latest system update. Even the Kia app does not provide a warning. Has anyone else experienced this?

Oh my, that's concerning. When you approach, is the smart opening option turned on? I am enquiring because I was hoping that disabling it could put an end to those pesky random opening errors. Because the tailgate opens and damages itself so easily in garages, multi-story parking garages, and short parking bases, I will never allow that option to be set to work. You are aware that Hyundai and Kia automobiles do not equip the tailgate with sensors or cameras to prevent it from opening when it shouldn't. It takes a lot of force to halt the opening movement of the tailboard when it's set to auto open, so you might want to give it a go with your hand.

The smart tailboard is not yet enabled.
