There will be welding on Monday, therefore I will have to completely unplug the 48V battery from the vehicle's power source. Is anyone familiar with the process? Disconnecting the 12V battery is the first step.

You can easily separate the high voltage battery from most hybrids by pulling out the large orange connector—if you've ever opened the trunk of a Prius, you've seen it.

While most actual hybrids have batteries with a voltage of 200 volts or more, the 48 volt battery isn't likely to be fatal.


The fact that this mechanic is reciting the four-digit code as if it were his first code is even more concerning
