Want to find a decent phone holder for my CX30 because it has a few issues (poor vents, suction cup on glass, and a lack of high-quality options; I refuse to settle for cheap AliExpress wares).
I noticed that Quadlock has released their phone mount with a cup holder.
Has anybody tested it? Looks solid and well-made; Quadlock is known for producing high-quality goods.
You’re only seeing the surface.

This "suction cup" thing is totally illegal where I reside in New Jersey, USA. I discovered a mobile holder that fits in a cupholder, identical to the one seen above, at a nearby MicroCenter for a reasonable price of $10 in 2022. I believe the price is still the same, but it is only available in-store. On vacations, I use it sometimes. In spite of its flexible gooseneck and cushioned adjustable clamp with release, the base is finicky about getting into the cupholder, so even after installation, it wiggles slightly. However, it does come with a "shelf" for your phone. A USB cable can be inserted to charge or keep it powered up. Particularly for GPS applications, it maintains a useful height.

I haven't utilised a phone holder on the CX-30 because it comes with Android Auto.

Did you see the Weathertech cup phone holder? It fits perfectly in your cup holder.

In the end, I decided to go with a ProClip attachment tailored to our vehicles because I dislike cup mounts. They have been wonderful both times I've owned them; the first was a fit for a Subaru that I no longer own. It keeps the phone's cords short and controllable by positioning it near the USB socket; it fits neatly in the cupholder; and it's practically ideal for those (very few) times when I want to check the screen while driving.
NOTE: The price listed isn't "all-in," but the phone holders themselves are fairly priced. Keep in mind that this is for the plate that the phone mount (of your choice) will be put into.

An earlier CX-30 will do. All of my wife's 2023's ports, including the USB and 12-volt ones, have been relocated to the center console, which means there will be a tangle of cords hanging out of every corner. I took precautions by hardwiring her dashcam to avoid this. And she keeps her phone in the center console, using Android Auto to view what's on it.

Undoubtedly, my 2021 is the more senior model. It's my guess: congratulations? In any case, OP might want to check out ProClip.
