Hey there! I own an R52S and it has 122k miles on it.I am aware that the timing belt and auxiliary belt have been serviced, but I am unsure about the compressor. Is it worthwhile to do so in order to extend the life of the car? The prices I've received range from 350 to 750 pounds for the water pump; to be fair, that's not a ridiculous sum.

How about a new key fob battery? Have you heard of any reputable companies that sell them on eBay?

Repairing the supercharger is a smart move. But £350 seems like a steal. There's a lot of dexterity and effort required. Everything else is labour-intensive; the servicing kit costs about £50 plus coolant. Instead of taking it to just any garage, find one that specialises in Minis. That way, you can be sure it will be fixed correctly.

Key fob batteries cost around £7, but replacing them requires opening the fob and glueing it back together. If someone else is handling it, I would be curious to see examples of their work. Cutting it open can lead to a disastrous situation with the key.

With 122,000 miles on the odometer, I will definitely be performing the SS service. To do it properly, I will also inspect the water pump, auxiliary belt, and maybe the bottom pulley, as these are potential points of failure. As an additional component, I will examine the solid coolant pipes for rust, which is common with age and can cause leaks.

Thank you. The auxiliary belt has been replaced. This is a case of "bite the bullet"; I located an independent BMW dealer in my area for 750 GBP (not including the pump).

We will also eliminate those ugly streaks.

Along with crown alloys, it features split rims.Perhaps I'll go with crown white.

It will become a money pit unless you add spot lights and do maintenance.

A thousand every year is the only number it dies automatically.
