Hello, w124IMG_3837.jpeg m102 2.0 man..

I changed the cap and rotor and now won’t start..
I removed plug 1
I rotate to TDC
My issue is the rotor and it’s direction..
So it needs to face number 1 on the rotor…??
See picc

Thank you

Is the new cap properly installed with the HT leads? Was that your check?

What if TDC is opposite to what it should be? When everything else fails, start the engine again by turning it over by 180 degrees.

Oh, that's great.Indeed, I will give that a go.

Consequently, turn the crank until the rotor completes a full rotation.
So when is it?

I appreciate it.

No, it won't be completely flipped unless you take the distributor out. A rotor can only spin in one direction. It appears that you reconnected the cables in the wrong way. You can find the firing order stamped on the cam cover.

Has this been taken down?

Am I the one to ask that?
