I made the decision to get both applications, along with an OBD Bluetooth module, and I must express my considerable admiration. Significant upfront expenditure, although not dependent on subscriptions like Carly. Given that we have three BMWs in our home, I am confident it will be beneficial.
This occurred after I committed a fundamental mistake when attempting to ascertain why the passenger seat in my 1 series would not slide. After considerable effort beneath the seat, I opted to disconnect the seat wiring harness and recline the seat for better access, as the vehicle will not reset an error in the restraint system without intervention from a dealer or the use of a software program and dongle like Bimmerlink. Reassembled everything thereafter, resulting in a persistent seat restraint device alert. I decided to proceed after conducting some internet research on the most effective methods to resolve the problem. The UI is excellent, remarkably user-friendly, and I was able to resolve all the difficulties in only five minutes. I subsequently experimented with Bimmercode, disabling the Auto Start feature from triggering at startup (my pet aversion). I performed the identical actions on my M5 and also enabled some other appealing, but perhaps superfluous, features. It is beneficial to eliminate all extraneous error codes in both vehicles.
Highly encouraged. I have rarely utilised Carly for comparison, since I was deterred by the subscription model.
You’re only seeing the surface.

BimmerLink and BimmerCode applications for cars
Solid assessment of this software for programmers.
Did the thought of bricking something stop you from using it? I would be agitated and twitchy if it happened.
Which auto-start feature did you disable? I am confused by your statement. The start/stop?

The answer is yes, stop and start. Apologies for the poor phrasing. Both vehicles are currently set to the off position.
According to the grounds that you mentioned, there is a "expert mode" that I am not going to interact with. When I play, I utilise the idiots mode, which is a safer option.

Just being able to use it as a start/stop button made the purchase worthwhile.
Did a few more things, too, but I can't place them now.
Avoid using professional option if you want to avoid bricking anything; it remembers your settings, so you can't go bad.
