I had heard that the Foxwell ScanTouch NT510 is incredibly sluggish while scanning, therefore I returned it back after purchasing it based on the positive ratings. Can anybody recommend a scan toll that doesn't take an eternity to scan?
I am thankful.

When scanning an automobile, the majority of equipment will take a few of minutes to connect and scan all of the modules. Unless you choose an expedited module.
All three of my current devices—a Foxwell, an ISTA, and an otofix running Autel software—are functionally identical.

Apologies, I may have been a little too quick with the NT510. The prices at ISTA and otofix are a little too high for me. Something that can read/reset codes, register stuff like batteries, etc., is what I'm looking for.

Look into bimmerlink/BimmerCode and an Amazon dongle.

For what I'm after, BimmerLink looks to be the superior option; but, I'm not sure it will be compatible with my outdated Android 2017 device; I will verify.
Concerned about the security of bluetooth, I've always connected my Vlinker obd2 to my laptop to monitor my Fords.

Unless you happen to leave your phone at home, Bimmerlink is always at your fingertips, making it incredibly convenient.
This adapter has been great for me, and I've suggested it to others.
Sure, the app should work on your 2017 phone, and Bluetooth is very secure.

It shouldn't take more than a few of minutes to scan all of the modules, but it feels like a long time when you're sitting there, so it's probably best to invest in an nt 530 so you can handle more recent models as well.
