I'm thinking about getting a dash cam, however the reviews for the Lexus OEM model in the US are really negative. Just so you know, Lexus Canada offers a brand new, upgraded model that isn't sold or shipped to the US. Unfortunately, we don't have access to it, and neither will our Canadian Lexus dealers.

Can someone suggest a good dash cam?

I am grateful.

I am also interested in this. According to Google, the FitcamX 4K Dash Cam is the best option for a Lexus NX 2025 because it integrates like an OEM and records high-quality video. On the other hand, the official Lexus Integrated Dashcam has a simple design that was approved by the factory, and premium brands like BlackVue and Viofo (A229 Plus) offer advanced features like 4K, cloud connectivity, and multi-channel recording, so they perform better. Get FitcamX if you're after a covert design, Lexus OEM if you're want ease of use, or BlackVue/Viofo if you're after premium features.

Hello there! The FITCAMX worked perfectly with my 2022 NX 450h+. You can see the steps in their videos. Over and over, I viewed them. In order to ensure that your vehicle is a suitable match, they take great care before sending you anything. In order to receive the NX, they insisted that I email them photos of the mirror housing from both this vehicle and an earlier Audi. Having this on the NX makes me very happy. Its existence is a mystery to everyone.

To prepare for any unexpected price changes brought on by tariffs, you should familiarise yourself with them. I spent less than $200 for just two hours of labour. I bought mine at the same time as tariffs were going into effect...and tried not to think about them.

Please share your decision and its outcome with us....

I appreciate your reply.
a few enquiries:
A front and back camera? Were you asked to select both?

Are you the one who installed it?
I was wondering whether Lexus service would install a third-party dashcam for people who aren't handy with electronics.

There is only one camera that I set up. Carefully, I completed it on my own. It is unlikely that Lexus would integrate or provide support for any third-party product except than tires.

In all seriousness, the 2025 NX is only compatible with a single Dashcam. A YouTuber with a large number of videos and an NX owns provided a fantastic analysis of the options. The dashcam one is

The FitCamX, which I bought after following his advice, is fantastic. The quality was so impressive that even my Lexus salesman bought one for his NX. There is no way around this. The appearance is flawless, and the pricing is great.

Inserted into my 25NX450h+ is a VANTRUE dash cam. It was from the vehicle I had before. Everything is fine and dandy. Cameras may record from the front and the back. It provides coordinates (latitude and longitude) and velocity.
Find out whether you want to.
