My wife and I are very considering purchasing a 2026 CX-30 AWD 2.5L Turbo.
I was going to purchase a 2024 CX-5, but the navigation system is so clunky that I had to manually type each letter and number before hitting enter. In a cumbersome way.
According to what I could find online, the "select a number/letter system" is still present in the 2026 CX-30.
Could you please confirm or deny that? Is it possible to search for an address without using the dial by using the "voice command" instead? In what ways can the CX-30 NAV system remember its destinations?
If we wanted to avoid paying for an OEM navigation system that was difficult to use, we could utilise Apple CarPlay maps instead.
Appologies for the lengthy initial post.
You’re only seeing the surface.

1. No, Alexa isn't available in your market just yet (it's not in Sweden), but you can use the MyMazda app to send a destination to the car. The plan includes connectivity for at least 7 years in the EU market, but the costs for anything beyond that will be announced later.
Apologies, newer, but I did not see your second question.
Waze is one free option; be aware that you can activate the touchscreen for Android Auto and Carplay, but strangely, not even for that feature of the built-in

Even while I appreciate you taking the time to respond, I must enquire: will the "select a number/letter system" be available for the 2026 CX-30 models?
An illustration of the destination's entry:
Please confirm whether the following is accurate: "10 Main St": dial to "1" then press enter, dial to "0" then press enter, dial to "M" then press enter, dial to "a" then press enter.....

The 2020 CX-30 and the 2025 CX-50 are my. Both use the navigation system in the exact same way. I don't know of any updates or changes to the 2026 CX-30's navigation system, so I'm assuming it's the same. For address input, you can use voice commands. It recognises my thick Southern accent, although it's not the best. Also, the dial isn't very important to me. While I do have a lengthy list of "favourite" destinations in my CX-30, I have never given any consideration to the system's capacity to keep such names. Although I am capable of using Android Auto in both of my Mazdas, I have yet to do so.
No, the CX30's operating system and HU will differ for 2020, 2024, and beyond; I'm not sure what to say on the 50, but we don't carry them in Europe.
And I'm stuck; I need Alexa, but she's only available in certain markets (such, maybe, the UK and Germany).

That you (we) can bypass the dial-it-in mode and enter an address using voice commands is great news. I was hoping you might take a look at the voice command input that was done on a CX-30 dealer's YouTube video.
That your CX-30 has a reasonably extensive list of locations saved in it is encouraging to hear.

Sure, but as mentioned before, make sure to verify with your dealer. Unfortunately, speech recognition is not compatible with addresses. It does work for other purposes, but Alexa connectivity is required for addresses and a few others, and not all markets offer it.

My experience has been excellent thus far. I am taking every precaution possible and hoping for the best. In general, the automobile is great.
