Does anyone have any ideas? I was wearing a ruby wrist brace. My discovery of the single horseshoe layout came after removing the disc. The fabric has separated and peeled off. Finding out how to substitute them is what I need to know. I couldn't find a single shoe on the internet. The hub appears to be the only access point for the little bolts that appear to be holding it on. I prefer to wait until I understand the procedure before moving forward. I would much appreciate any recommendation.

The brake shoes are sold in a set of 4. One option is to look up instructions on how to replace them on YouTube. It's a safety item, so if you're not sure, it could be better to have a garage handle it.

While I am unfamiliar with these brake shoes, I can tell you that they are handbrake only. Discs are the standard braking mechanism for the rear.

I noticed that they seem to be sold in sets of four when I look at them online.


Parking is the only time this safety device is necessary.

You can still use them as a backup brake in case your regular brakes fail.

In an emergency, you definitely don't want to depend on a little drum brake to bring a two-ton SUV to a halt.

I commonly see them paired up. With my eyes closed, I can do those x. They are compatible with both two-piece and single-piece horse shoes. Very strange arrangement, but I've figured it out now. Apparently it's also on the Sorento.

With the "horseshoe" setup, you'll receive a set of two, separately for the wheels. To make room, you'll likely have to take the hub off as well. In most cases, the bolt that secures the bottom end of the double shoe is heavily rusted, therefore it's a good idea to have an extra set of bolts on hand.
