Great to see you all, little people. An impenetrable riddle has beset me. There seems to be a significant leak around the dipstick tube in my mini. Everything ends up in a jumble as it falls to the floor. However, the only time it lets go is when the engine is working hard. In order to prevent leakage when not in use. Every oring that I could discover has been modified. I have replaced the gasket on the valve cover. I swapped out the pins and timing chain. Moreover, beneath the variable valve timing (VVT) sensor, I uncovered what appears to be a pressure warning valve. Even now, it spills and flings. Can an experienced person tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Be sure to inspect the crankshaft seal. When those do, they often bleed profusely. When the VVT solenoid fails, it lets out a lot of air. Putting a fresh seal on it was my task.

Before I changed the timing chains, I did replace the crank seal. The source of the leak was my goal when I applied some UV dye. It must be emanating from above the alternator, because I can feel it. I will test the effect of a different VVT sensor. Much obliged.

If you only need to change the o ring on the VVT sensor, it should be fine. In that area, you might also find a fractured valve cover or a gasket for the cover.

An automobile telescoping mirror of the dental variety is what I use. to guarantee that mine is fully inserted. At some point, I had to go out and get a new bolt. During the first few months of ownership, I stitched my actual. necessary to tap it out.
