Salutations, I am currently immersed in the world of BMW diesels. Swirl flaps weren't originally on the M47D20 (136HP), and I get that. There are swirl flaps on the M47D20TU (150HP) and M47D20TU2 (163HP), which I am also aware of. Are swirl flaps standard on the 116HP and 122HP versions seen in the 318D and 118D, respectively, due to the reduced power? It seems like there is conflicting information on the subject; some people claim to do it, while others deny it.

I had a 318D with no swirl strips. Find out if they have it or not by checking realoem.com.

The site is great; I had no idea about it till you told me about it, man. Looking at them, it doesn't appear like they have swirl flaps.

Worm flaps are not present on M47 118d and 318d E87/E90/E91 vehicles.

I'm also thinking E46 318d, right?
