Greetings to everyone here,

I am in the market for a new 225xe HV battery; the one I have now is the 7Kw one, but I was planning to switch to the 10Kw one as I think it's better and gets me 30% more mileage.

In any case, it is not turning out to be easy to source a 10Kw HV battery (and the 7Kw, also, to be honest).

I was wondering if this Mini Countryman HV battery with the component number 9896807 is the same as the 10Kw BMW HV battery? If so, would it be a direct replacement for my 7Kw 225xe battery, which is currently malfunctioning.

A 9896807-cell battery Here is the link to the item I found on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/205045179063 it does Does it appear that I, as an electrical vehicle mechanic, can just replace it on my 225xe?

Much obliged for the assistance...

Interesting question; I'm afraid I don't know the answer.
I hope you do get some answers because I will be watching.

If the two automobile HV batteries (225xe and Mini) are indeed distinct, the fact that they share a component number is highly coincidental.

Furthermore, it appears that the language on both battery labels is similar...

But you can't afford to take a chance without all the facts beforehand...

Excavation will continue.

As it is 25xe, I take it that it is a f45 active tourer and not a f22?
With 5 packs in all, the cells are very identical across numerous BMW models; the housing is shared by the x1, x2, and tiny countryman.
It is to be expected that these cars will share components, given that they are all built on the same platform.

it is my firm belief that a whole unit from a tiny countryman will be dropped right in. I would venture to suggest that upgrading to larger KWh may necessitate some software tweaks, though.

Yeah, I think that's right—the F45.

Good news! Since the cars that use this HV unit have a common platform, the HV battery should work with all of those automobiles.

It would be a waste to buy this battery if it had problems, so I'll look into it more on eBay. Hopefully, since it's the 10Kw version (from 2018 onwards, I think), rather than the 7Kw version, it's newer and should still have plenty of life left in it; otherwise,

Your feedback is much appreciated. Thanks a tonne!

Challenging, but I am no longer able to ride in an electric vehicle.
