Has anyone removed the top trim from the A-pillars to allow the cable to be routed behind? I plan to install a dash cam tomorrow. What are some suggestions? Be cautious to maintain a safe distance from the Air Bag.

Then I started to tuck it into the rubber trim. I ran the wire through the seam where the pillar trim meets the top.

It might be necessary to direct it behind the airbag in the A-pillar as well. So that the bag doesn't snag the cable and/or camera and potentially shoot the passenger in the face, I've had to do this on prior vehicles.

I have not yet tested our EV3, but I did last Monday with Mrs. P's EV2.

Despite my best efforts, I was unable to remove the bottom of the driver's A-pillar from the dashboard.

Nevertheless, I was able to see clearly behind the air bag and proceeded to run the cable inside, against the windshield. To make sure it was completely out of the way, I threaded it under the airbag's base fixing. I could then run it under the dashboard trim and into the fuse box.
