What sets the e400 apart from the e43 on the inside?

Good morning! Please inform me if the m276 3.0l e400 and the e43 share the same engine internals.
While both the E400 and the E43 AMG use the same 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine, the E43 has larger turbochargers, a greater boost pressure (16 psi), and an AMG-specific ECU tune, which allows it to produce 396 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque instead of 329 and 354 lb-ft, respectively. The E43 also comes with a 9G-TRONIC gearbox that shifts quicker and a 4MATIC that is sportier and modified by AMG.

Be cautious as usual; the AMG version also has a slightly reduced compression ratio.

All of you, I appreciate the information. So, in a nutshell. There is no difference in the internals. Just a tune and larger turbos. Concerning the question... Replacing the 400 turbos with the 43 turbos would be a worthwhile endeavour. On the 400, I would like to perform a stage 1 tune.

To get an AMG up to Stage 1 tuning standards, a remap is usually all that's needed to increase boost pressure and fuelling.
Catless or sports cat downpipes, together with a more aggressive layout, make up stage 2.
Among other advancements, Stage 3 grants you larger turbos.
Do not bother with larger turbos for a Stage one. Not only would it not be Stage one, but it will also be expensive and require the additional changes described earlier in order to be functional.
Furthermore, contact your insurance company in advance to get a ballpark figure for the additional expenses. Not all businesses are willing to consider remapping.

Naturally, the larger the turbos, the longer the latency will be. That's why they opted for two smaller turbos rather than one large one!
The 3.5-liter E400 may achieve over 400 horsepower (or 420 bhp) and C63-level torque with a straightforward and supposedly inexpensive stage 1.
'Detuned' and with minimal boost, they sound great.
Tell me how much you'll need....
Strangely, when one or two members of this forum remapped the C207s for benchmarking and calibration, the cars were already producing 350 horsepower, rather than the 328 horsepower they had before the remap.
In the E350, those were the 3.5-liter engines that produced 306 horsepower (or slightly more) when the turbos weren't installed.

I will restrict myself to a single stage 1. A music for the open road. Plus a map of TCU. I happen to own the 3L bi turbo model.
