Greetings everyone, At the very front corner of my roof, there is a small leak. The spot where the windscreen meets the door glass appears to be the entrance.
I sealed the roof yesterday in anticipation of the storm that is expected on Monday. Examining the roof seals, I found a tiny piece of rubber or foam within one of them. This part was pushed all the way back on the passenger side and all the way forward on the leak-free driver side.
Has this been a later addition to the seals to aid with leaks, or is it a typical part?

Is there anything you've tried to make the rubber softer, like silicone spray or Gummi Pflege?

I haven't done that, actually. In light of the comments above, I went ahead and purchased a stick of it today. I guess it's all relative.

Instead, you might use white silicone grease, which is less expensive.

Recent development: silicone was applied to all of the roof's seals and Autoglym roof protection was applied to the roof itself.
Despite having a hosepipe on top of the vehicle and spraying water over it for five hours, the dealer found no leaks when he took it back for a second inspection on Monday.
Despite the seat being dry in the morning following the nighttime rain, water seeped through in the same spot after a drive to work

It could be worth considering applying fabsil for a second roof seal instead.
When was the last time someone changed the seals? I would prefer not to disassemble it and figure it out as I go along, but I can't seem to locate any videos or directions online.

Rest assured, the roof will not require any more treatment. A specialist in convertible tops assured me that, thanks to a layer of rubber put at the factory to make it waterproof, modern convertible tops do not require any additional protection for the roof.
Unfortunately, that won't solve your problem.
A leaky convertible from my past would happen if I parked it at an angle, and I've always thought that water had a way of reaching far away from its source before it drips on you.
I would focus on the place where the water isn't draining away because it should be going in the channel.

All right, I appreciate it. Whenever you open the boot, I've noticed that a pool of water forms. The hinge screws into a pre-existing recess. Typically, there's a pool of water there, but I haven't worked out where it goes just yet.

Concerning the roof, I am not confident. After several weeks of being leak-free, it will suddenly start leaking whenever it rains.
The water at the boot hinge drains as soon as you begin to drive away, and I don't know where it's supposed to go. It appears to be an inadequate design.
