Android Auto - Wireless in the 2025 Sportage?

Greetings, all!

It would be really appreciated if someone could explain this to me before I go completely insane. The 25-plate Sportage I own was delivered on March 1, 2025.
Based on my understanding, that is the current ccNC system, not the Gen5W version, since it is the most recent design with a full touchscreen (no physical buttons on the dashboard). This sweeping, 12.3-inch digital screen is an integral part of the cockpit dashboard. The only difference between the reference photograph and mine is the swimsuit. A screenshot of the version IDs for my infotainment system is also included.
Every time I go to the "Phone Projection" menu, the following information appears: "Please connect a phone that supports Android Auto using an approved USB cable." It's really frustrating because I'm attempting to get Android Auto to function wirelessly.

So far, here is what I have attempted:

I just updated the software to the most recent version (published a few days ago) by manually connecting it to a USB drive. The version is dated February 2026. Despite the updates, the screen insists on a cable.
I have tried the "Clean Slate" reset, which involves removing the phone from the car, going into Bluetooth settings and "forgot" the car, and even clearing the cache and data on the Android Auto app.
Repairing the Connection: I have started over with a fresh pairing, this time being careful to select "Allow" and "Use Android Auto" at each and every question that appears on my phone.
In my search for a "Wireless" checkbox in the Device Connection settings, I have exhausted all possible menu options.

I would assume it has the necessary hardware because the car was manufactured only last year.

Do other people with a March 2025 build also manage to get wireless AA to function? Would I still need the cable, though? (Yes, I am aware that I can purchase a dongle to enable Wireless Android Auto, but I was under the impression that a brand-new car purchased about a year ago would already have this capability!)

It would be tremendously grateful if anyone could offer any information.
Best regards

If I'm not mistaken, this model of your car cannot utilise Android Auto without a wire or an extra wifi adapter; it is not the current generation sporty.

This is not the latest generation of sporty, but as far as I can see, your type of car does not have the ability to use Android Auto without a wire or additional wifi adapter.

The previous 48 hours have been a total waste of time for me researching this, and I'm ashamed to admit it. I will peruse the other discussions for the dontles that are available.
