Hello everyone

Thereafter, I went to a place that makes key duplicates (though I refrained from duplicating the key there).
I simply wanted to enquire about getting a new battery for the key.

When I asked the clerk to open the key, he or she said, "You see this component?" It is essential for starting your engine.
My thoughts kept racing to the question, "Why did he tell me that?" I merely requested a battery.
Afterwards, I politely requested that he return my key without having to change the battery.
So he handed me the key, and I hopped in my trusty old car, but there was no power, no cranking, and the engine wouldn't start.

The message was "can't start the engine" when I returned to him.
Then he asked, "and?" Would you like something from me?
In spite of my wrath, he took another look and eventually returned the key to me.
I was trying to close the car doors by clicking the middle button on the key, but it ended up opening my trunk.
Angry with him once more, I returned to his place, stole the key, and disappeared.
I was given the key when he returned.
There was no problem with the keys or the engine starting; nonetheless, an air bag malfunction message appeared on both the dashboard and the screen.

To begin, I have full confidence that he made a copy of my key or at least any part of it that he could find.

Second thing, why did this mistake appear following everything that has happened with this person?

My current predicament is that I'm getting an airbag error message, and I also know that the positive terminal of my battery's BST is missing a wire; it only has a connector on the inside, and no wires connecting it to the other side. I've read on yt that many people disconnect this wire and install a 2ohm resistor to bypass the airbag, so they don't get this error.

What do I do now to fix this problem without bypassing it? I was considering simply rewiring the bst connector and connecting it to the opposite side like any other.

The error was erased, but it reappeared five minutes later.

And why did the mistake pop up after I had already dealt with the key there?

Considered just replacing the bst as well.

Yours faithfully.
Apologies for the lengthy post.

Before you can determine why the light is on, you must run a fault code scan.
Just the one key you have will function because, in diagnostics, you can disable all the others.

The answer is yes; I did disable additional keys using the scanner.

I presume that we are now safe.
Rescan it and provide the error message.
