Salutations, Everyone!
I need some help with a fuel gauge problem.
I became the second owner of my Nissan Juke at the tail end of December.

I filled up the tank with diesel, and everything was OK thereafter. The fuel indicator on the dashboard showed a steady decline in level as the mileage increased.
More than fifteen days have passed since my last fill-up, and the gauge has remained at FULL ever since.
Can you please tell me if the fuel sensor could be faulty or??????

Have you covered a lot of miles? I think ours remained at full throttle for a while before letting off, thus full was actually 3/4 throttle.

That's fine, the gauge is functioning properly.
It took almost 80 miles after filling up the tank to see the gauge begin to drop, but at least I know the sensor isn't defective.

For the Juke, that's a typical irritation. It is quite probable that the gasoline level sender unit in the tank is jammed, as it was functioning well prior to the last fill-up. When you fill up the tank, the float arm could get a little jiggly and become stuck up there. As a first step, when the vehicle is parked on a level surface, you can try hammering the base of the fuel tank with the heel of your hand or a rubber mallet. Strange as it may seem, it really works to free the float. If that doesn't fix the problem, you may need to replace the fuel pump and sender. Have you given the "whack" technique a go yet?
