We possess a 2026 model Audi Q4 etron.
We thoroughly enjoy it, with the exception of one issue: we are experiencing difficulties charging at home.
Employing a Sync wall charger and a granny charger, both cease functioning after merely a few minutes of charging.
The present battery level is 70% while it is configured in the vehicle at 100%.I have also experimented with it at the suggested 80%.
The charging process has ceased, and the Audi car application indicates that "the charging session was successfully completed," yet the battery remains at only 70%.
There are no timers configured, nor any energy suppliers established; it is essentially a straightforward plug-and-charge arrangement.
We took the vehicle to Audi Sheffield, and they reported no problems with it. I have been experimenting with various methods this morning, the most recent being to deactivate all energy-consuming devices in the house. The outcomes remain unchanged.
The charger was installed by a reputable installation firm, and we possess the necessary certifications.
The earth bonding was assessed early in the procedure and was deemed "excellent.
Do you have any suggestions? I am losing my desire to continue living.

I have a handful of enquiries to elucidate matters. You indicate that the present charge stands at 70%. If both your wall charging station and the portable charger function for only a brief period, how did it reach 70%? Did that involve utilising a public charging station? It appears that the problem lies solely with your residential electrical supply. It appears you have ruled out the typical offenders, including conflicting schedules with the vehicle and the supplier. Earthing is acceptable.

In perplexing scenarios involving electric vehicles, my initial step is to execute a complete reboot of the vehicle's onboard systems by detaching the 12V auxiliary battery for half a minute. Throughout the years, it has addressed numerous comparable problems.

Are you certain that every configuration regarding charge management is disabled? Considerations such as time-of-use rates to emphasise overnight charging? Is the vehicle capable of charging adequately with public AC and DC charging stations? Have you considered inviting other electric vehicle owners to your residence to test your wall charging station? Such elimination sessions frequently help identify a defect.

Revise -- an additional consideration. Frequently, these premature disconnections occur due to the cable's failure to maintain its 'handshake' with the vehicle. Attempt to insert the nozzle and securely maintain its upward position to guarantee a robust connection with the signal wire. At times, the nozzle's weight causes it to detach from the upper pin. Additionally, inspect the interior of the vehicle's charging port for any debris that might be obstructing optimal signal connectivity.

I appreciate that. To elucidate. I have fluctuated between 61% and 70% over the past 24 hours, with incremental increases, but it has now ceased to rise further. It has incurred a fee for public 400 kW chargers in recent weeks.
I contacted Audi Sheffield this morning, and it is scheduled for a "wall charger update" next week.
I have attempted to grasp and subsequently jiggle the connector, but it appears to have no effect.
The MMI has undergone a reset.
Charging durations, among other factors, are unequivocally inaccurate.
Upon completion, the Audi car application displays "charging session was successfully completed.
To me, that alone suggests that the vehicle perceives itself as fully charged and consequently ceases the charging process.

I have also disconnected power to all high-consumption devices such as the refrigerator, freezer, and pond pump to ensure it is not a supply problem.

My subsequent action, as recommended, is to experiment with an alternative home charging unit that a neighbour possesses, as well as potentially utilising our granny charger on his electrical supply.

If he is amenable, consider testing his vehicle at your residence utilising both your cables and his. Unable to collect sufficient data to discount certain options.

I am optimistic that it pertains to the factory update; during my call today, he mentioned a wall charging unit update without me bringing up the charging problem.
I hope for a favourable outcome.
I completely concur with the neighbours regarding their vehicle utilising our charger, etc.
