Consistently prioritise servicing and replacing the engine oil annually or every 10,000 miles, and currently, my average is merely 4,000 miles per year.

Would it be advisable to alter the oil every 5000 miles or every 6 months?

One would not have deemed that essential considering the dimensions and purpose of the vehicle, unless residing in extreme temperature regions or engaging in intense stop/start or sustained high-speed driving. Contemporary oils are typically formulated for yearly modifications or up to 20,000 miles for high-mileage users; however, the latter trend has gained popularity primarily due to the expenses linked to operating corporate vehicles.

A neglected element is the initiation of electric power and the shift to/from internal combustion engine driving, which is frequently automated and largely beyond the driver's influence unless they apply significant pressure on the accelerator.
