1988 BMW E30 318i TC build

Please tell me the proper amount of coolant to have on hand when the temperature outside drops.
Instead of being a separate unit, the reservoir is joined to the radiator on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Assistance is greatly valued.

Your E30 318i, like others with the M40 engine, had a revised cooling system; the ones with the M10 engine, in my opinion, had a separate reservoir.

At the halfway point when it's cold, check out this link.

I really appreciate you getting back to me.
In my opinion, that is the one.
I came across some information that stated the level was slightly higher than the kalt mark or the step.
Now I understand the step, but mine is white and unlabelled.
