Greetings everyone,

I attempted to wash the windscreen upon returning from a five-day business trip, and here we go again.

The windscreen wipers would stutter and stop after moving about five inches. They return to their initial location after the engine is turned off and then on again.

I used Wd40 silicone spray on all the joints, but it had no effect.
I plan to open the wipers and inspect them after purchasing a kit from the tool station. To what extent are these likely reasons? Outside of the realm of advanced age!

Do you know of any do-it-yourself videos or tips I could read? In the time leading up to the garage visit?
Would you happen to know who fixes windscreen wipers? Have you heard of Halfords?

Could it be that the grease in and around the pivot joints has been baked due to the recent hot weather?

Even after spraying WD-40 into every joint, nothing changed.

Remove the motor and its connecting rods. and inspect the gears for any damage.

This is completely new to me; I think I'll watch a few tutorials on YouTube before giving it a try.
