Support for chugging, juddering,

TDCI manual gearbox, 2-liter diesel engine
Over the past week, I've taken my kuga to the garage no less than four times, and each time, the problem persists.
Whenever I use lower gears to accelerate, and only when the car is "cold," I hear a chugging or vibrating sound.
It's not there if you use the clutch while riding, and it's not there when you rev the engine while driving out of gear.
I attribute its disappearance after approximately fifteen minutes of driving to the vehicle's increased temperature. After two hours, it's fine to drive again, but after a night or three hours of cooling, it returns.
It appears to be more prevalent the more power you need to pull away or go uphill, though I'm not very technically savvy. Additionally, it decreases as you increase your speed.
