The engine management light has been on for three weeks.
Problem code 244800: Power factor filter has a mileage limit.
Vehicle may not be regenerating DPF correctly if used mostly for short trips beyond 1so.
Just the EML dashboard light, no DPF indicator.

Another error code indicated that the intake manifold was cracked and leaking; thus, a new one was recently installed.(was identified at the same time as the DPF code) Is there a connection?
Maybe it's the new DPF. At 115,000 miles, I'm getting close to the end of their factory lifespan, which is less than ideal.
Perhaps there is a problem with the sensors or something more hidden?
I would be extremely grateful if anyone could offer some advice.

There will be no problems or warning lights caused by that DPF code; it is simply informational and based on BMW's expectations for the DPF's lifespan.

Two mechanics have executed the code for me. Intake manifold leak and DPF codes were located by my neighbourhood BMW expert. Even though the intake manifold code was cleared after the repair, the DPF code remained.
After clearing it again, the RAC mechanic discovered that the intake manifold code had returned. Just two days ago, the EML light turned on again.
In order to read the code, an OBD scanner was connected to the ECU.
Although I lack the expertise to do so, I found the mechanic's recommendation that I need a new DPF to be incorrect.
Your response is greatly appreciated.

Some years ago, on a brand-new 320d, I had that dpf code.
Even though I no longer have access to that vehicle, I still see it on the road nearly every week after using the diagnostics to inform it that it had a new dpf.

My neighbourhood BMW expert did just that—he coded the ECU to indicate a replacement.
The intermittent on/off operation of the engine management light (EMS) has led me to suspect that the problem may lie with the intake manifold.

Repairs to the intake, such as new gaskets or flaps, will necessitate adaptation resetting in addition to code clearing.

The measured air mass is too high in the 290900 air mass system.
