I was wondering if it would be possible to replace the outdated satellite navigation system in a 59-plate C180k estate with a more modern system, because it includes a pop-up infotainment unit.

Check out Android devices.... people have different opinions on them. The recommendation is to avoid questionable UK sellers (even if they have stock in China) and stick with established brands instead of questionable ones like AliExpress.

If you want up-to-date maps for the native MB unit, you'll have to wait at least ten years. If you want to be sure, you can check with Satnavishop or Command On Line.

Consider upgrading to an Android system (with a nicer screen, to begin with) if you decide to purchase the car, as suggested by MJ above.

Put away that useless chew toy and use your phone's Google Maps instead.

Actually, it's more efficient when used with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
