My 2014 330D X Drive began losing power approximately four months ago; I experienced what seemed like limp mode and noticed that the exhaust was noticeably louder; the vehicle had a twin conversion. Could anyone provide any insight into what could be going on?+ I spent about £800 on six new injectors after the mechanic indicated I needed them since my engine was smoking. I returned home to find that the engine was dripping oil and intermittently turning on and off Going back to the garage, we rectified the oil leak. + new service an additional £700 - it runs great one day and terribly the next - it appears to have lost all of its zip and power, simply not performing as well as before! electricity will be severely delayed if you insist - any suggestions? The engine no longer emits smoke or oil, which is a relief. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Your time is appreciated.

Because any other statement would be based on speculation, a fault code scan should be performed first.

Seems like a sketchy garage. As mentioned before, get the problem codes scanned with a professional scanner, preferably an expensive one.Does the vehicle have any history of dpf gutting and/or remapping? Possible causes include boost leaks, vac lines, dpf, etc.

The mechanics there are experts on BMWs, so I'd rather not hold it against them; I haven't had any problems with remaps, dpf, or anything like that. Are the vacuum lines leaking? Thanks for getting back to me; I was under the impression that the repair shop would have looked for error codes as they worked on the vehicle. Do you suppose it's basically checking fault codes? My sincere appreciation once more

They aren't experts if they can't interpret fault codes.

Having a code reader of your own is worth it.
