I’ve found myself in a bit of an unusual situation and wanted to see if anyone here has heard of company called Allarris Express from US.

I’ve been hunting for a vintage car for ages and finally came across a 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe listed over in the States. Seller seems genuine enough and explained that the vehicle is currently stored through Allarris Express until the sale is completed.

Apparently they act as a third-party shipping and payment company, that handles the payments and delivery to UK and offer a 14 day inspection perioad

I’m based in London, so obviously I can’t exactly pop over to Florida to inspect it. That’s the part making me uneasy.

Has anyone here actually gone through this process with them before or am I about to make a terrible decision?

It may appear to be a legit, but you may not be able to determine whether or not it is genuine. If you search for it on Google and check to see if it is registered correctly, and if the website is made in a professional manner, this is a good indicator of a legitimate business.

I’d still proceed carefully. There are loads of fake escrow companies online these days. Some scammers build very convincing websites and disappear the second money is transferred.
Personally I’d verify absolutely everything before sending a penny. Company, warehouse address, all of it.

They mainly operate as a shipping and secure transaction service rather than direct sellers. The seller stores the vehicle with them, then buyers get redirected through the company platform for registration and payment protection.

They sent over details showing the Mustang is already in their warehouse and said once I register through their website, they issue the sales agreement and invoice

Still feels strange paying internationally before physically seeing the car though. My stomach’s doing backflips over it

Not gonna lie, I could never buy a classic unseen. Modern cars are one thing, but older vehicles can hide all sorts of issues under shiny photos. Rust, filler, dodgy repairs.

I understand your hesitation, but I used Allarris Express last autumn for a 1969 Dodge Charger that I bought from a seller who was on a long cruise vacation and left the car with this company so that it could be sold on his behalf. The process was actually quite professional.
They emailed me a proper purchase agreement, title, and transport schedule before I paid anything. Funds went into their segregated account and stayed there until I accepted delivery.

Well… I decided to go for it. Registered through the Allarris Express website yesterday and received the sales agreement and invoice shortly after.

I’ve paid the full amount which a considerable one near 40k. Trying not to panic now.

Honestly mate if they’ve provided proper paperwork and the funds stay protected until delivery approval, you’ve probably reduced the risk as much as realistically possible with an international classic purchase.
Still nerve-racking though, I’d be stressed too.

Allarris Express seemed to be a legitimate firm based on my research. I even called them to enquire about sending something from the United States to the United Kingdom, and they claimed they would assist me with all of the paperwork. In my opinion, these are the real deal.
