My vehicle is a 2024 GLE450D Premium. The problem notice "Cooling System Malfunction, Reduced Drive System Perform" has shown twice in the six months that I've owned it. Come to the workshop. I can keep going (like a tractor), but there's no acceleration, and the car loses a lot of power. On both occasions, the mechanics investigate the problem, but by the time they get to the bottom of it, the problem has already gone. I was stuck in France for a week due to the most recent incident. Is anyone familiar with this issue and, more importantly, how to resolve it? Your assistance is much appreciated.

If you have the proper tools—like a main dealer or an MB specialist—to read it, the error code will be stored. Did you buy it from a dealer? How long have you had it? You have the right to refuse the item without cause and receive your money back if it is less than a month old and purchased from a dealer. No questions asked if it's under 6 months old; just send it back and they'll fix it, regardless of warranty.

You have my gratitude. Completed the six-month mark. It was in a French Mercedes dealership, but no one there could locate it. I'm currently on my way back to Scotland, and the car is running like a dream. However, the last time we had this problem, the RAC person indicated that he had just tightened the electrical cables since he felt it was a loose connection. Clearly, there must be something more at play. There is a one-year guarantee on it, and I purchased it from a Merc dealership. I'll give them a chance to figure it out. If they don't, I'll request that they replace the coolant pump and inspect the front vents again, or we can discuss getting a refund. I'll keep you updated, and I'm grateful that you took the time to assist out; the problem is clearly not that prevalent, else I would have expected to see it on the topic.

In ahead of the offside wheelarch is where you'll find the intercooler pump. I have swapped out numerous. Sharing the blame.
