How about this CAT S Sclass? Would you consider buying it?

Considering trading in mine for this one in 2023; it has all the features and colours I'm after, but with CAT S. The current dealer is listed on the DSB, and the full service history includes the first four megabytes and the final two. I'm sure there's some wriggle space, but the price is £29999! I have a 400D.

No, in my opinion.

A large premium loading is typical for Cat S, and some insurers will not even cover them.

Frankly, I wouldn't even bother to go see it.
The roads in England are too narrow for a lengthy chassis, moreover!

My initial reaction was that there must have been a significant amount of damage to completely destroy a 5-year-old S-class. Upon viewing the image!


Why bother? The specifications are good, but that's just the cherry on top, isn't it? Low mileage, correct history, few owners, etc., are good foundational elements to have.

What is the average mileage of a rolled-over 8-year-old diesel S class?

The Cat-S (Structural) flag is necessary because this type of damage is too severe to warrant the expense of parts and repairs to be considered a minor hazard, unlike older vehicles with less extensive damage.
