The new E450d estate's quick entrance and exit setup has been giving me trouble.


For instance, you may set your driving position on Motorway 1. The seat barely travels around <1" backwards when I turn off the engine and unlock the driver's door.
When I got back in, I was hoping the seat would go back to the driving position (because it's assigned to my key), but it didn't.
The seat does go back to the proper driving position when you press 1.
Is there a method to "tell" it where to set the exit position for the seat and steering wheel without using, say, M3 (which would need me to hit the button)?

The entry/exit issue persisted even after I deleted the profile the dealer had set up for me on the day of collection and created a fresh one from the beginning.

I am open to suggestions. On the other hand, maybe I'm mistaken; I get the impression that my S211 and S213 automobiles are far easier to configure for E & E.

To be honest, I'm shocked there isn't already a mechanism to accomplish that on my C238 (which is based on the W213).

While my seat does retract quite a ways when the Easy Entry/Exit feature is engaged, my height is just 5 feet 8 inches, so I can only assume that it would retract much less when the seat is adjusted to a more comfortable position for someone, say, 6 feet 3 inches tall.

A function that was absent from my previous two vehicles—the new "auto setting"—allowed me to adjust my seat to a height of 5 feet, 10 inches.

Is there a potential for conflict between the two?

Even though my seat was 2" shorter, I too utilised the auto setting .

However, I fail to see how a 2" height disparity could significantly impact the seat's motors' ability to recline. Perhaps it's a 2-door coupé and it simply slides further back in my car.

Is pressing the memory button to depart the vehicle really that big of a deal?
My prior vehicle had problems, so now I constantly utilise the memory button to get in and out of the car.
The easiest way out of my previous vehicle appeared to be to raise the steering wheel, which caused it to "stick" every so often and need some "persuasion" to lower.
