Got my space saver at last!

It was finally too much, so I bought a 19" space saver.
This followed a pothole impact that damaged one tyre after using both rear wheels.
The good news is that the rims and tires are unharmed. Just got two new tires
But I have to get a space-saving retaining bolt through the mail.
Is anyone able to verify the bolt diameter?
Yours faithfully

In addition to holding the trunk floor in place, the bolt on your vehicle is designed for maximum strength.

You can find a considerable amount on the market. A new bolt is used by the most recent models (MY22 and after, I believe).

Incredibly grateful.
Given the price of two new tyres (£440) and a space saver and jack (£257), I was hoping to obtain one for a few pounds less.
I could find a pre-owned Freelander that matches your description (LR095552).

Based on what I recall, I could be mistaken. I used to own one, but I'm afraid I gave it away to someone on the forum. I didn't spend that much for it. The bolt is basically made of two parts. This bolt secures the trunk floor to the vehicle by screwing into the chassis. The wheel is fastened in place by screwing down a big dish nut beneath the bolt head. In subsequent models, you can find the more affordable one-piece bolts.

Excellent choice! I've used the space saver twice now, once to fix pothole damage and once to remove a nail from my car.
really worthwhile

I was fortunate to never have a puncture in my six years of ownership, but I did have to use the space saver I had installed when one of my diamond cut rims stuck on a rock when fishing

I'm glad I had it

It is better to have something than to need it, as the old adage goes.
