Rearview cameras for the Kia Sportage GT models

I only recently acquired a 2022 MK5 Sportage GT line vehicle. It has just occurred to me that the front side sensors do not go into alert mode when we approach side objects or cars. Even while the vehicle is in reverse, the rearview sensors don't appear to be picking up any movement, so I've tried having someone go close to or touch them.

I don't see any notifications, and I'm still not sure if these are parking sensors or not. If that's the case, are they meant to complement the other sensors or be less sensitive on their own? Before I contact the dealer, I need to know whether anyone else has seen this issue with their side sensors or if they work perfectly in your case; I've checked all the front and rear sensors and they're all working properly.

I appreciate it in advance.

Four parking sensors, two on each side of my GT-Line, locate the vehicle when I park. Not only does my GT-Line lack blind spot detection, but it also lacks side sensors. It seems to me that the blind spot detection system will incorporate the GT-Line S side sensors. I have no doubt that GT-Line S owners will be there shortly to verify.

Yes, there are 2 in the front and 2 in the back; the rest are blind spot detectors.

Yes. Additionally, if the front corner approaches the car in front of me when I'm pulling out of a parking spot, I receive a warning.

You have my gratitude. For the purpose of determining its defect, I will return it to the retailer. I hope it's just a software issue.

You are just wonderful. Did I understand correctly? They aren't meant to detect distances like regular parking sensors.

My ones will make a noise to alert you if someone is walking beside your vehicle.

It does indeed sound an alarm if you place your hand over the side sensors, correct? Your explanation is really appreciated.
