Has this amount of condensation been seen before?
Even while this is apparently normal and mostly occurs when the weather is cooler, the current level of severity is unacceptable.

The air's moisture condenses on the cool glass since they are not sealed like double glazing units. Take it easy for a while or drive about on a dry day with the back cover off and the lights on to help dry it out. Warm days and chilly nights aren't helping matters right now. Condensation has been appearing on my windows at an increased rate for the past week, and I can relate.

Puncture a tiny hole in the lamp's back to allow air to circulate and reach room temperature.

And that's exactly why most of them have ventilation.

Covering the breather hole with this gore-tex-type fabric should be standard for most. The air should be able to pass through while the damp air is sealed off. Still, a lot of people deal with issues related to excessive humidity. I don't think cutting a hole would improve things; the current ventilation system should be sufficient.
