A Discussion on the Mercedes Shed....

Post any abandoned, battered, or poorly maintained Mercedes you come across; the site will likely be deleted or closed down soon because of the sensitive "that's someone's pride and joy" sorts. Certain wear and tear is inevitable with masterpieces of a bygone era, thus none of them....Pretty much everything from the 1990s, I suppose. And don't take it personally if your automobile gets "featured"—it's suddenly famous, and maybe that will motivate you to fix it!

Let me begin with this charming little creature that has just materialised a few streets away. Unexpectedly, it's taxed and MOTed. However, after reviewing the most recent test, all I can say is that he must have some sort of influence over the tester, or else it was one of those "special" two hundred MOTs!!! It's a shed all the way around. Lots of corrosion, peeling paint, an opaque headlight, a crack that runs the length of the screen, and so forth. It wasn't long ago that I sold a pristine, rust-free example of the identical model.

It is quite unfortunate.

It's a hidden gem. It likely contains a full-fat M113K mill.

As soon as I get some images, I will be able to add a couple around here.

Brake pads are wearing on the real carriers, the suspension strut has rusted through, and there is no MOT: all for £600. Trunk brimming with filings.

But. Thanks to a number of calculated risks, I now own a fantastic S203. I just spent £2,000 on a part, and Mercedes-Benz just installed a new sunroof, which cost me even more, all because of a safety recall 😁.

Took us to Germany, 4 laps of the Brutal Nurburgring and home again. Of course.
