Greetings everyone,

I'm interested in hearing about the tire pressures that many folks are using on their Mk1 1.6 Tdi Black Edition A1s that have 225/35/18 tires.

an extremely high-pressure option is listed on the door label alongside an even higher-pressure option.

More stringent demands suggest

41 psi up front and 35 psi down back

Fitting 1.4 TFSIs with 18" wheels and comparable tyres—33f 30r—is challenging enough for me!

My decision is to go with 35 up front and 32 down back; I'll let you know how it feels.

I possess the black version of the model 2 and the sticker that displays the two tyre pressures.

Even with 36 psi all-around, the ride could be rough on certain roads.

To my knowledge, the lower pressures are only a "comfort" pressure that provides you with the option.

Oh, I see. I've adjusted the front to 36 psi and the rear to 32 psi. Thank you for your response.

For solo drivers on town roads, certain dual carriageways, and infrequent highway excursions, the lower pressures are typical. The higher pressures are typically associated with a heavily loaded vehicle or one that is driven at high speeds.
