Vehicle will not start

Driving a 2012 Juke Tekna 1.6 Turbo, I am a woman. From 2014 till now, I have been the one behind the wheel.

While I was behind the wheel yesterday, I noticed that the dashboard temperature was beginning to rise. It would normally rise and fall. I filled up the water tank and made sure the oil was level first thing in the morning. My car stopped today when the temperature reached red level; nevertheless, I didn't attribute the problem to water as I had added some in the morning. I had to contact for help after trying to start it multiple times without success. The mechanic reported that the radiator was empty upon his arrival. The only indicator on the dashboard was the battery life indicator.

What does that mean for the likelihood of my car's recovery? I am requesting your assistance.

The dash clearly indicates that the temperature has gone into the red.

Perhaps repairing the coolant leak would solve the problem, but there might be other underlying issues, such as a faulty headgasket or a warped head, that were caused by or affected by the overheat.

I just went through something similar. No blemishes, but coolant is leaking out.
Problem solved: blown gasket.

If you look in the oil and don't see any white sediment, you might be able to use £40 worth of sealant to fix your automobile.
It could end up costing a significant penny to get the gasket fixed.

Best of luck

The radiator is supposed to be filled with coolant or water, right?
