To reiterate the topic, I was wondering whether anyone has ever had experience with this additive causing more problems than it solved when adding it to the AdBlue tank during a subsequent top-off.

The proper dosage has never caused any problems.
My adblue was modified at 6 months (10L) and an anti-crystal dose was added. I pumped out the tank after leaving it parked overnight after excessively overdosing it with an anti-crystal dose the day before my last attempt. Perhaps I may follow suit this year too.

Upon recommendation, Hubby has lately added Forte exhaust anti-crystalizer to his adblue tank. Even though his tank holds 25 litres, the potion only treats 20 gallons, according to the fine print. Remember from before that you shouldn't fill up the tank to the brim. The only thing I can say is that it can't hurt if other people have found that it stops crystallisation. Having said that, the potion will do nothing to stop a part from breaking.
