How can I set it up so that the fan draws air in from the outside without really heating or cooling it?

In my experience, turning the air conditioner off at the thermostat and turning it on at the fan level causes the temperature dial to have no effect; in other words, you won't feel the effects of either the heating or cooling modes. A 2023 e208 GT was mine in November.

Also, when I'm alone in my e208 during the summer and the air conditioner is overkill trying to chill the cabin, I put it in "ECO" mode until I can get someone else to stop and give me my full attention so I can alter the screen settings. ECO cuts down on air conditioning electricity to save money.

Furthermore, pre-conditioning the cabin from cold to hot doesn't use up much more than 1% of the battery charge in winter and summer, maybe 2% in cases of truly significant temperature change. However, keep in mind the ridiculous Peugeot rule that states preconditioning is not allowed when the battery is less than 50% charged. A minimum of 10% makes sense to me, but 50% is ridiculous.

Put the thermostat on "LO" or as low as it goes without turning off the air conditioner. It may try to cool you down using outside air too quickly unless you manually lower the fan speed.

(No personal experience with a Pergeot was used; this is based on standard climate control knowledge.)

Maybe the E208 is the same, but it depends on the model year of the E2008.
The air conditioning on my wife's 2020 model (first edition) may be turned off entirely by using the piano key switch.
Even when turned off, the air conditioner on my son's 2022 model continues to let outside air in via the vents. So, in order to make the heat pump and vents perform a little more efficiently, Peugeot did make some adjustments to the design in slightly later versions.

I own a 2025 model. You can still feel the breeze from the wind as the car moves forward, according to the manual, even without the air conditioning. The remainder of the climatic portion is a bit confusing to me. Probably due to my advanced years.
