Does coding replacement components assist?

Greetings to one and all.

Please, I need some assistance figuring out how to solve a bug.

A defective steering rack and motor are undermining my 2018 V220 (W447). I was able to track down a handful of pre-owned replacement racks, but they are extremely rare and expensive. A new one from MB is just too expensive for me.

Is it known whether recoding will be necessary for a replacement? Since it is an electric pump/motor, I would expect it to.

I was wondering if anyone knew anyone in the North/East Midlands area of the UK who could be of assistance with this. My home is not far from Sheffield.

I went to DAMAS in Clowne, but they weren't closed.

Thank you ahead of time.

Is anything new to report? To fix my W447 model year 2017 (v205d), I need a new steering rack. I have located a suitable replacement, but I am currently attempting to determine the necessary coding requirements before arranging for the garage to install it. Do you have any advice?

It is appreciated.

My best guess is that he won't even notice the hack because he hasn't been here in over a decade!

No problems and no coding were required when I had mine replaced.
