While using Carplay (Android Auto) on my W213, the rearview camera activates and takes precedence over Carplay.

Call Command Online in Lightwater and ask to speak with Mark or Richard. Their knowledge of the options for your vehicle is invaluable.
Bring your whole vehicle identification number (VIN) with you at all times.

With any luck, you may also activate it using MBito, which consists of an OBD dongle and programming. What they can and cannot accomplish for each model is detailed on their website.
