You can see the problem and how to fix it in this video I made. Appearances to be growing louder.

Cooling is not included in the maintenance plan.

Although there was significantly less noise when I was here, I did receive a pass.

That sound isn't a leak if it's functioning properly. Might it be emerging from the evaporator's opening?

To be fair, I was wondering if the video was intentionally loud because the sound isn't airflow but rather a noise that builds up during AC activation. Certainly was never this well-known. However, it appears to cool just fine. In these scorching temperatures, it worked perfectly.

Based on my personal experience, I can tell you that when your car makes a "hissing" sound, it means that the refrigerant is leaking out of the system. In my instance, which was a different Kia model, the condenser had tiny holes punched into it from debris.

It wouldn't be doing its job if it was escaping the system.

It appears to cool down perfectly, yes. Turning up the fans is the only way to hide the growing noise, although even on Auto 1 settings, it was never too loud. Just wanted to test the waters and see if I could pull it off on my own, so I uploaded the video. It was a peaceful system before, but now I have to do long journeys merely to turn on the air conditioner. Neither increasing the airflow nor the fan speed has succeeded in silencing the sound. You have no idea how much junk has ceased entering my lungs since I started using a MANN filter instead of the default. I had to get a new one after a year. There was no change when I replaced it with the regular one. From a technical standpoint, I presume there is nothing I can do.
