Hi everyone -
A Carplay system that makes use of the car's current screen (or one that allows for the installation of a screen of the same size to replace the current screen) is something I'd like to upgrade to. Do you have any recommendations (and would really appreciate any links)?
After consulting with two Leicester-based auto audio experts, I've come to the conclusion that removing the radio is necessary to install a screen in its stead, rendering the current screen (and space) obsolete. Not at all what I'm going for; I'd rather the car retain its original appearance if at all possible.
Much obliged.
You’re only seeing the surface.

Prior to the facelift, all W212 and S212 models would have NTG4 (NTG4.5 was introduced with the facelift).
You'll need an Audio20 NTG4 (or an Audio50 NTG4 with Navigation) since your HU lacks the big PCMCIA slot found on the COMAND NTG4.
To find out what HU your automobile has, it's easiest to use a free online VIN decoder and look under the 52x-53x portion of the Datacard.
