Hello, I was hoping someone could tell me where the vent/purge valve is on a 2020 BMW M135i and how to replace it. Since mine went on the diagnostic, I'm considering taking matters into my own hands to see if I can fix it.

Conveniently located above the intake manifold, it is simple to replace.

Thanks! I believe I've found it. Would it be okay to simply replace the battery without disconnecting it?

Replacing that shouldn't need disconnecting the battery, no.

I appreciate that; after checking, everything appears to be in its proper place; does anyone have any suggestions for removing it?

Changing out the rubber vibration damping mount on the valve is as easy as sliding it up and off the metal bracket. To make removal and refitting easier, spritz on some lubricant.
