The question is, as stated in the headline, how much longer until the water is clear and the automobile is free of dry spots?
I have owned the D I vessel since June of last year, and I clean the car 2-3 times a month on average.
I was wondering if it was time to get fresh resin as I saw some noticeable water spots while drying it today.
After shampooing the car, I do rinse it out with a decent amount of water.
You’re only seeing the surface.

What is the duration of a D's resin?Does this vessel have a lifespan?

How much water you use for each rinse, the size of your DI tank, and the hardness of the water in your area are the three main factors to consider.
The water that is being pumped out of the container can be tested with a cheap total dissolved solids meter. When the concentration of water reaches 30 parts per million, I observe that it starts to stain.
Please note that the HM Digital TDS-3 meter is a product of Daqua. Be wary of the many low-quality imitations on the market; they are often less expensive but more likely to break down quickly.

I am grateful for that information. So, it's clearly a metre.
That water is really rough.
I have placed an order. £12 including shipping.

Considering we do about the same amount of washing, mine (which is located just up the road from you, Rog) lasts about a year.
Authentic barman hard water available here.
Making sure I don't miss 'the turn' is why I purchased a meter along with the DI.
Resin swaps, whether emptying and refilling, can be a bit of a pain.
Of course, you could always just purchase a new ship in its whole.
