Re: In search of a 520d
For the most part, I'd prefer to keep to the 40k intervals that Mercedes recommends.

Re: In search of a 520d
In my opinion, the B47 is the best engine to choose based on my study.
When it comes to upkeep, I replace the oil every 5,000 miles and make sure to have good runs to get the dpf hot. If I were to get 20,000 miles out of the car, my main concern would be that it will likely just have had one oil ...

In search of a 520d
A 520d is on my radar as a potential replacement for my existing cab. Which engine requires less maintenance and is more dependable? Every mechanical task is completed by myself.

Here are a couple live data photos taken after the engine has started up and been idled for a few minutes, just in case you were wondering. So far, this scanner has provided me with all the data I need.

Re: The 2014 R60 S Despite a lot of effort (or lack thereof), it is not working.
At present, the scanner's live data only displays misfires at 2500 rpm or higher. I've observed a tiny lag when I accelerate, and when I release the throttle after it reaches operating temperature, there's a little dip in rpm. I will definitely give that throttle body relearn a shot. The spark plugs ...

The 2014 R60 S Despite a lot of effort (or lack thereof), it is not working.
Greetings, everyone! I possess an R60 S model N18 with 153,473 miles. I wish to contribute to the misfire discussions, as I am experiencing misfires in cylinders 1 and 2 that commence above 2500 RPM. To summarise, I disassembled the engine to refurbish the cylinder head due to low compression in ...

Re: Questions
Looks like it's overly delicate. While changes in temperature will cause pressure to rise and fall, the alert shouldn't be triggered unless the shift is quite drastic. Just from the heat that is generated when driving, the pressure goes up significantly. It is recommended to fill and check the ...

When it becomes hot, does it do it? The egr bypass is closed while the engine is cold so that hot exhaust gases can pass through and help the engine warm up faster.
