is there anything else I need to know about maintaining a healthy engine and gearbox than deleting the swirl flaps (which the prior owner had already ...

Personally, I don't think it would look well on a black car, but then again, I wouldn't want a black automobile in general!

Re: Is privacy glass standard on all E and C-Class Mercedes now?
It looks nice, keeps the car cooler (particularly when parked facing the sun), and is a good choice overall, but it's even better if your children are unattractive. Being the first vehicle I've owned with it, it came standard on my vehicle. Having blue glass on my blue CLK was a nice touch—it was ...

pump for water? That's what happened on my e46 330d: I couldn't locate the leak, so I checked the water pump. A wobbling, viscous fan indicated that it was working, so it would be worth a go, but I'm not sure your car's setup is different.

If you remove the wheel and measure the diameter with a tape measure, you should be able to determine the size of the rotor because there is a discrepancy of 24mm.
Take the calliper and rotor off and measure it precisely if you're still unsure.
It is my hope that this is of assistance.

Re: How about this CAT S Sclass? Would you consider buying it?
No way.
My initial reaction was that there must have been a significant amount of damage to completely destroy a 5-year-old S-class. Upon viewing the image!
Why bother? The specifications are good, but that's just the cherry on top, isn't it? Low mileage, correct history, few owners, etc., are ...

Make sure to inspect your vehicle's rear subframe since it failed the MOT test due to corrosion.
It failed the MOT today. Disappointed since throughout the vehicle's MOT history, there has never been an advise regarding rust.
Looking under it, I can make out a couple of rusty holes, but I haven't had a chance to examine it well just yet.
